All things for voices and instruments (2014-15, 7’)

First performance: After Sunset, Schiermonnikoog, August 29th 2015, by Lunatree

All things, for two female voices, clarinet, violin and violoncello, is a setting of a text by Gautama Buddha:
“All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions.
Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else.”
The two phrases are divided by a short and intense instrumental section. The result is a piece in three short movements, focusing on things being in relation.
